This Position reports to:

Maintenance Team Leader


Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the maintenance team by carrying out daily activities in accordance with agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures. You will contribute your technical skills to increase the overall efficiency of equipment and production lines across our highly automated machinery landscape.

Work model: Onsite

This position supports the Electrification, Smart Buildings, Energy Distribution business in Schaffhausen.


Your Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on equipment within our diverse and highly automated machinery park
• Performing preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment
• Working closely with production cells as well as collaborating with Production Engineering and external service providers
• Contributing to and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment
• Supporting improvements in Lean Management practices
  
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician, mechatronics technician, polymechanic, production mechanic, electrician, or a comparable technical qualification
• At least 10 years of experience diagnosing and repairing production and assembly equipment (mechanical / electrical / pneumatic)
• NIV13 or NIV15 installation authorization is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it (costs covered by ABB)
• Engages constructively with coworkers, communicates clearly, maintains high motivation, and organizes work without close supervision
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP
• Fluent German skills; basic English skills are an advantage
• Willingness to work in a 3‑shift system with on‑call duty after an intensive onboarding period
