We are seeking a talented and driven Demand Planner to join our Demand Planning team in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing regional demand forecasting and supporting the business in achieving sales and inventory objectives through accurate planning, strong analysis, and close cross-functional collaboration.
This is a hybrid position based in our Basel office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

We are seeking a talented and driven Demand Planner to join our Demand Planning team in Basel, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing regional demand forecasting and supporting the business in achieving sales and inventory objectives through accurate planning, strong analysis, and close cross-functional collaboration.
This is a hybrid position based in our Basel office. You will be required to work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
What You Will Do In This Role
Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Manage and maintain regional demand forecasts by SKU in SAP IBP on a monthly basis.
- Analyze forecast accuracy and KPI performance based on historical sales trends, demand drivers, and root causes of forecast bias and variation.
- Provide demand planning input into the regional commercial planning process, highlighting risks and opportunities to help shape the most realistic sales plan.
- Support quarterly newness launches by monitoring trends and analyzing performance to identify strong volume drivers and recommend discontinuation of slow-moving items.
- Support the quarterly line planning process by providing recommendations to build and maintain a productive assortment.
- Identify long-tail SKUs and recommend actions to reduce complexity and support regional assortment targets.
- Support inventory clean-up initiatives by flagging slow sellers and driving recommendations for commercial actions to reduce overstock.
- Assist with the write-off process for obsolete or dead stock in regional warehouses.
- Partner closely with global planning teams, including assortment and supply planning, to improve supply chain effectiveness and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, merchandising, marketing, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure demand planning insights are reflected in business decisions.
- You have 3+ years of experience in supply chain, ideally in demand planning.
- You bring strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with data, forecasting tools, and business insights.
- You have advanced Excel skills and a strong overall affinity for systems and data.
- Experience with SAP R/3 and IBP is strongly preferred.
- You communicate clearly and work effectively across functions and regions.
- You are proactive, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
- You are comfortable working in a multicultural and fast-changing business environment.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, ideally.
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken; German is a plus.
