Mission
As Manager M&A, you drive the structuring and execution of strategic transactions across the Group. Your mission is to deliver value-accretive acquisitions, partnerships and divestments through best-in-class financial analysis, structured negotiation and seamless transaction execution.

As M&A Manager, you help shaping the financial backbone of Alpiq’s strategy, investment agenda and resilience.
You Will
Support Alpiq ambitious growth and capital deployment agenda
Enable high-quality, disciplined and fast M&A decision-making across the Group.
Ensure valuation transparency and consistency for all strategic and financial decisions.
Position Alpiq as a credible, trusted counterparty for banks, investors and rating agencies.

You are an experienced M&A leader with deep expertise in M&A processes and valuation methodologies. You combine analytical strength, pragmatic execution and the ability to influence at Executive Board and Board levels. Mission
As Manager M&A, you drive the structuring and execution of strategic transactions across the Group. Your mission is to deliver value-accretive acquisitions, partnerships and divestments through best-in-class financial analysis, structured negotiation and seamless transaction execution.
Your Main Responsibilities
Deal Origination
- Support the identification and prioritisation of acquisition, partnership and divestment opportunities aligned with strategic objectives through the financial channels.
- Lead end-to-end execution of mid-sized transactions and play a central role in complex strategic deals.
- Manage and coordinate due diligence processes (financial, tax, legal, technical, commercial), advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Drive financial modelling, valuation, risk analysis and scenario planning.
- Prepare decision documents for SteCo, Executive Board and Board of Directors approvals.
- Ensure disciplined stage-gate governance and documentation standards.
- Build and maintain robust valuation models (DCF, multiples, sensitivities, risk-adjusted returns).
- Ensure consistency with Group valuation principles and capital allocation logic.
- Perform structuring analyses (equity vs debt, JV models, earn-outs, minority protections).
- Support impairment testing and post-investment performance reviews where required.
- Support negotiation of SPAs, SHAs and financing terms from a financial perspective.
- Design economically sound and transaction structures aligned with risk appetite and capital efficiency.
- Collaborate with Tax on structuring concepts and feasibility.
- Collaborate with Treasury on funding concepts and financing feasibility.
- Ensure transactions are executable, financeable and governance-compliant.
- Define financial KPIs and value-creation logic at signing.
- Track deal performance against business case assumptions.
- Support integration steering from a financial control perspective.
- Ensure learnings are institutionalized to strengthen future transaction discipline.

You Bring
- Strong leadership and cross-functional influence.
- Excellent valuation and financial modelling skills (WACC, DCF, scenarios, structuring).
- 5 to 8 years of proven M&A process governance experience across deal cycles.
- Strong negotiation skills with advisors, banks and counterparts.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations, intercompany funding, guarantees and risk governance.
- CFA, CAIA, EMBA, MBA or similar credentials highly valuable.
- Hands-on, resilient, analytical and execution-driven mindset.
- Additional languages and project management capabilities are beneficial.
