The role…

Reports directly to the CEO of Weidmann Holding AG and operates at the intersection of strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship. Acting as innovation catalyst, the Lead Business Innovation drives projects from ideation to proof-of-concept and supports the translation of disruptive ideas into scalable business models, services, processes and market offerings. The mission of this new role is simple: Identify opportunities others don't see, challenge industry orthodoxies and help build Weidmann's next generation of growth.

How you’ll make an impact…

• Run Weidmann's innovation engine, including radar sessions, opportunity scouting and business case development
• Launch and scale strategic growth initiatives beyond traditional products
• Co-create new solutions with leading customers and industry experts
• Simplify and digitize value chains across and beyond company boundaries
• Mobilize global “rock-turners” around opportunities that can change the game
• Generate a robust pipeline of future opportunities through effective radar and scouting activities
• Translate innovation projects successfully into scalable business cases

What do you bring…

• Hands-on experience in innovation, strategy, corporate development or venture building
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong execution skills; start-up experience is a plus
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills, including engagement with senior executives and customers
• Ability to identify emerging trends, technologies and market shifts, turning insights into opportunities
• Passion for challenging the status quo and thrive in ambiguity
• Master’s degree in a technical field preferred (Electrical Engineering a plus) and fluent in English
