Bavarian Capital is expanding the capacity of its Project Management Office to better support a long term engagement with our client, a major Swiss financial services provider. This internship is designed for individuals who are interested in the intersection of finance and structured project governance. Your work will directly contribute to the stability and transparency of our financial projects, ensuring that key data and progress reports remain accurate for our leadership and our client partners.

About the role
In this role, you will become part of a decentralized team that prioritizes logical workflows and precise documentation. The PMO Intern acts as a central point of support for project administration, helping to translate complex project activities into clear, readable reports. Because we operate as a fully remote firm, you will rely on digital communication tools and structured documentation to keep everyone aligned. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing information and wants to understand the fundamentals of how large scale financial projects are steered from inception to completion. You will work within a professional framework that values quality of thought and accuracy above all else.

What you will do
  • Coordinate with project leads to track milestones and deadlines, ensuring that timelines are transparent and up to date.
  • Update internal documentation and maintain organized digital records for client engagements and internal audits.
  • Support the preparation of weekly status reports and progress presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help monitor resource allocation and project budgets under the direct guidance of senior team members.
  • Organize remote meetings by setting clear agendas and taking detailed minutes for follow up actions.
  • Identify data discrepancies in project reports and flag them promptly for correction.
  • Support the implementation of standard project management templates and workflows across different workstreams.
  • Communicate with various internal teams to gather updates on specific tasks and consolidate information for project overviews.

What we are looking for
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field.
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English, both in writing and in virtual meetings.
  • Strong organizational skills with a natural preference for methodical and orderly work processes.
  • Basic familiarity with standard productivity software, particularly spreadsheets and presentation tools.
  • A proactive attitude toward learning professional project management methods and coordination tools.
  • The ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining consistent contact with the team.
  • A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work products.
  • A basic understanding of financial services or a strong interest in how investment firms operate.

What we offer
  • Competitive pay that reflects the professional standards of the investment industry and the responsibilities of the role.
  • A fully remote working arrangement that provides the flexibility to work from a location of your choice.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced professionals who specialize in project governance and capital management.
  • Practical exposure to significant projects involving a major Swiss financial services client.
  • A calm and professional work environment that prioritizes focused productivity over unnecessary urgency.
  • Opportunities to develop specialized skills in reporting, data management, and project coordination.
  • A structured internship experience with clear objectives and regular feedback on your professional growth.
  • Access to the firm's collective knowledge base and established project management protocols.

Working at Bavarian Capital

This independence is balanced by a culture of mutual respect and straightforward communication. Our commitment to durable growth extends to our team members: we offer an environment where you can refine your skills at a pace that allows for thorough understanding and professional maturity. We focus on building lasting value for our clients and providing a reliable, thoughtfully managed workplace for our people.
