Head of Digital Supply Chain and Manufacturing - Your future role?

As the Head of Digital Supply Chain and Manufacturing in Geneva or Zürich, you will guide the digital transformation of end-to-end operations. This transformation will occur from planning and production to distribution, and our team will achieve it by integrating advanced data, automation, and technology into manufacturing and supply chain processes. You will ensure operational excellence through seamless IT/OT integration, optimization of manufacturing performance, and deployment of creative digital tools (including MES, APS, AI analytics…).

You will report to the Head of Global IT.

Your Main Responsibilities

Strategy

• Develop the global digital strategy for manufacturing and supply chain, aligning with our priorities and operational excellence goals following company 2030 strategy
• Establish a future-ready «IT/OT architecture». This architecture connects shop-floor systems, including MES, SCADA, and IoT, with enterprise applications, such as ERP and SAP S/4HANA. It ensures real-time visibility and control.
• Identify technologies that inspire efficiency—such as digital twins, predictive analytics, and cognitive automation—and integrate them into the operations roadmap.
• Be the digital expert in manufacturing and operations, promoting the best practices for resilient industrial networks.
• Oversee governance for all operational platforms to ensure consistency, scalability, and security across digital environments.
  
  

Digital Solutions and Operations

• Be the Business Relationship Manager with the respective Heads of Operations for the Fragrance and Taste divisions.
• Lead design and deployment of digital solutions for operations, maximizing optimization across supply chain planning, production scheduling, and asset performance management.
• Improve integration of «Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)» with planning tools (APS, demand planning, inventory optimization) to ensure synchronized, data-driven decision-making.
• Champion digital projects that use machine learning, IoT sensors, and advanced analytics for «process optimization», «predictive maintenance», and «quality improvement».
• Foster collaboration between IT and Operations teams to develop unified control centers, ensuring transparency from raw materials to delivery.
• Define architecture standards and performance metrics to assess impact of digital investments, refining tools based on operational insights.
• Advocate for Agile methodologies to manage operational product backlogs, ensuring rapid iteration and value capture.
• Communicate digital progress to leadership and global operations, demonstrating return on investment and agreement on priorities.
• Track User adoption of solution

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Operations Management partners and forums, operations leaders, and technology peers to align investment roadmaps and deployment priorities.
• Co-create transformational programs with plant managers, supply chain directors, and finance stakeholders to embed digital optimization into everyday execution.
  
  

Leadership / People Management

• Build and inspire a global team of manufacturing, data, and digital product experts.
• Establish capability frameworks around smart manufacturing, process automation, sustainability data, and supply chain analytics.
• Recruit and develop diverse talent in IT/OT systems, digital product management, and operations transformation.
• Cultivate an innovation-driven culture that embraces continuous improvement and latest technologies in industrial operations.
  
  

You have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in digital manufacturing or data science are a plus.
• 15+ years in manufacturing, or supply chain digital transformation, with recent executive-level leadership.
• 8+ years leading teams managing manufacturing systems (MES, APS, SAP, IoT platforms).
• Experience driving IT/OT integration, smart factory projects, and end-to-end operations digitization.
• Expertise implementing digital tools that deliver measurable productivity, quality, and sustainability gains.
• Expertise in «manufacturing optimization and digital factory ecosystems (MES, APS, IoT, AI/ML)».
• Experience with Industry 4.0 and operational analytics for performance improvement.
• Experience building «digital supply chain control towers» and predictive maintenance frameworks.
• Change-leadership capability to lead transformation across manufacturing sites and supply chain networks.
• Fluency in sustainability metrics and the use of digital tools to reduce operational footprint.
