Global Marketing Director, Innovation – Otrivin & Flonase
About The Role
Global Marketing Director, Innovation – Otrivin & Flonase is a enterprise leadership role responsible for driving growth by creating a powerful innovation pipeline driven by strategic thought and clear consumer insight.
You will lead a team having an end-to-end responsibility on innovation – from the strategy development, insight identification, concept development, toolkit creation, full marketing mix programme and launch activation.
You will join the Global Brand Team and report to Global Brand Lead – Otrivin & Flonase, and will partner with key stakeholders in R&D across all functions, in the markets, supply chain, finance and with the rest of the brand team – especially Equity, Design, Expert and Market Engagement.
We expect you to have a deep understanding of the consumer, capable of aligning global interests while effectively accommodating local market nuances and consequently strategizing and delivering growth for Otrivin & Flonase globally and for the 6 OUs.

About The Role

Role Responsibilities
Innovation
- Set brand innovation strategy led by deep consumer insights and superiority benchmarks, aligning with both the overall brand strategy.
- Identify growth opportunity for innovation, product development, and asset creation, in partnership with CBIA
- Drive best-in-class, irresistible innovation programmes that bring to consumers our superior science in meaningful ways, achieving the innovation sales targets
- Lead end-to-end Innovation, managing pipeline development from concept generation to creation of fully adaptable toolkits for OUs
- Lead development of meaningful global programmes covering all aspects of innovation including (1) differentiated channel pack architecture, (2) commercial innovation supporting pricing and promotion strategies (3) superior and differentiated claims roadmap
- Set and manage innovation guardrails & thresholds to enable innovation pipeline governance
- Continuously and proactively optimise plans and portfolio, ensuring delivery of toolkits and content to win across customers and channels
- Establishing industry-leading plans for sustainability within the innovation priorities and bringing that to life in harmony with the brand heart & eco-system
- Set direction, empower, motivate and guide the team of direct reports, setting strong behavioural examples in personal development, demonstration of values and engagement of a diverse workforce
- Exceptional relationships and ability to influence senior stakeholders in OUs marketing / commercial excellence and cross-functional teams to be close to key market performance, consumer and competitor trends, ensure alignment and brilliant programme delivery with the ability to problem solve for performance in a timely fashion.
Basic Qualifications:
- Track record of significant contribution to the strategic planning process, at both a Category and Brand level
- Significant innovation experience to include growth opportunity identification, product development, assets creation and performance management.
- Proven ability to develop powerful new product concepts/or claims derived from consumer insights and data
- Proven ability to craft toolkits and communications with powerful consumer insights and anchored in brand equity
- Proven ability in developing integrated digital campaigns across paid/owned/earned with strong results
- Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with OU and Functions across marketing, R&D, QSC, medical & commercial excellence teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with successful outcomes, within a matrix organisation
- Highly developed commercial acumen with experience in P&L/budget management, pricing/mix/promotional strategies, brand architecture; with a focus on performance
- Strong influential skills as the person needs to engage with senior stakeholders in OUs and Functions frequently
- Understanding of science and technical development experience is a plus
- Ability to enable and drive change – resilience and tenacity
