About the Position:

To strengthen our technical support team, we are looking for a hands-on and customer-oriented Application Engineer for the DACH region.

In this role, you will support our customers and sales partners in the implementation, optimization, and further development of technical solutions across various industrial sectors.

The focus is on applications in the areas of cleaning technologies, coatings & protective coatings, soldering processes & flux systems, as well as thermal management & cooling solutions.

You will work closely with our Area Sales Managers, international technical teams, as well as customers and distributors, and actively contribute to technical support and business development within the DACH region.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to customers and sales partners in the DACH region
• Advise on the selection and implementation of suitable products and processes
• Support product qualification, production ramp-ups, and process optimization
• Conduct technical trials, tests, and product validations
• Analyze technical issues and assist with root cause analysis
• Prepare technical reports, application recommendations, and presentations
• Deliver technical training to customers, distributors, and internal teams
• Work closely with Area Sales Managers to support customer projects and business development
• Participate in customer visits, tech days, trade fairs, and technical presentations
• Share market and customer feedback to support future product development
• Willingness to travel within the DACH region
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Quality teams

Skills & Requirements

Your Profile:

• Technical education or degree in:
• Chemistry, Materials Science, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Microtechnology, or a comparable technical qualification
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Industrial cleaning, coatings, soldering, flux, process chemistry, thermal management, cooling solutions
• Knowledge of industrial production processes
• Experience in technical customer support, application engineering, or process support is an advantage
• Hands-on mentality with a passion for practical problem-solving
• Independent, structured, and customer-oriented working style
• Ability to communicate technical solutions in a clear and practical way
• Languages:
• German: very good (mandatory)
• English: very good
• French: an advantage
