About our client

Our client is a privately held investment holding company headquartered in Zurich, pursuing direct investments globally with a focus on long-term value creation across the industrial, technology, and data analytics sectors (100% ownership or selectively partnering with likeminded investors). Following a recent liquidity event that generated substantial dry powder for reinvestment, the team is looking to hire an Analyst to complement its team of 5 people.

As an Analyst, you will work on the development and execution of new investment theses, while also contributing to support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives and M&A projects. You will be joining a lean, agile, and highly dynamic entrepreneurial team of professionals with a strong track record of creating value by partnering with management teams to execute organic and inorganic growth strategies.

What the job involves

• Analytically assessing new investment opportunities, including evaluating potential acquisitions, conducting financial modelling and valuation, and managing deal process administration (Management Presentations, Q&A, and data-rooms)
• Identifying new investment platforms by analysing macro trends and conducting thorough sector “deep-dives” to develop solid long-term investment theses
• Supporting end-to-end deal execution, including analytical support during negotiations and managing external consulting, financial, or legal advisors
• Collaborating with the firm's leadership and portfolio management teams to drive data gathering, market/competition analysis, strategic planning, and the development of growth strategies
• Supporting portfolio companies on special operational and strategic projects to unlock value creation opportunities, including the possibility of operational secondments
  
  

Who we are looking for

• Experience & Technical Skills: Relevant experience at a top-tier investment bank, strategy consulting or Private Equity fund. Must possess strong business acumen, agility with numbers, and a solid command of corporate finance and valuation methodologies
• Sector Interest: A genuine interest in technical and industrial businesses, ideally with prior exposure to B2B environments
• Mindset & Approach: Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and adaptable. You comfortably combine hands-on execution with strategic thinking, creative curiosity, and the analytical rigor needed to challenge the status quo
• Global & Linguistic Agility: Internationally-minded with a proven ability to work across cultures and a willingness to travel . Fully fluent in English; command of German or other European languages is a strong plus
• Integrity: A professional possessing the highest ethical standards and discretion
