Gas Power Technical Compliance organization (GPTC) provides technical guidance, leadership, and tactical directions to drive product compliance and product safety of the power plant.

GPTC provides coverage in expertise throughout the entire lifecycle of the Power Generation equipment by identifying product risks, regulatory technical requirements and by driving product safety & compliance during project execution.

GPTC is offering an internship opportunity to join the Functional Safety team. The selected candidate will support the team to provide safe and compliant power plants, to improve the way we work, always aligned with GE Vernova culture and prioritizing safety, quality, delivery and cost in this order.

The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to know other functions which the Functional Safety team collaborate with (for example: Controls engineering, System engineering and Project management) and external stakeholders (Regulatory authorities and external Customers).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Support the team with specific tasks related to Functional Safety during project execution
  
  
• Support the team with the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed to improve work efficiency, including but not limited to:
• Creation of new work processes and tools
  
  
• Investigate possible use of IT aids, including Artificial Intelligence.
  

Required Qualifications

• Engineering university background, preferably in mechanical or energy field.
  
  
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team and proactive attitude.
  
  
• Good communication and presentation skills.
  
  
• Good skills working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of other Information Technology aids (including Artificial Intelligence, Visual Basic, etc) can be beneficial.
  
  
• Fluent in English.
