We are looking for a Guide dog trainer (full-time) / Guide Dog Mobility Instructor

Your Functions

  • Training guide dogs
  • Introducing the guide dog to the client
  • Accompanying and instructing clients at follow ups and arranging the dog retirement
  • Supervising candidates during informational courses
  • Supervising and instructing clients during refresher courses
  • Management of the internal database
  • Participating in public relations activities, particularly guided tours or demonstrations
  • Dog-sitting services at the school as needed

Your profile

  • A recognised qualification as a guide dog instructor (GDMI) from SBFI/IGDF is preferred
  • Minimum of four years’ post qualification experience in the guide dog field
  • In-depth knowledge of modern dog training methods and an open approach to new insights into the training of dogs
  • A structured, reliable, and self-motivated personality with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent command of written and fluently speaking German; French would be advantageous
  • Category B driving licence
